  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup frosting of choice
  • 1/4 cup sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a dough forms.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
  7. Place half of the rectangles on a baking sheet and spread frosting on top.
  8. Top with remaining rectangles and seal the edges.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let cool and add sprinkles if desired.
