Cajun Potato Soup

A delicious and comforting Cajun potato soup made with turkey bacon for a flavorful twist.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add onion and garlic; sauté until translucent.
  3. Add diced potatoes and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then simmer until potatoes are tender.
  4. Use a potato masher to mash the soup slightly for a creamy texture.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, Cajun seasoning, and season with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Serve warm, topped with crispy turkey bacon.

Notes

  • This soup can be made ahead of time and reheats well.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less Cajun seasoning.
