  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish.
  3. Cube the bread and place it in the dish.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.
  5. Pour the mixture over the bread and let it soak.
  6. Fold in the diced apples, and optional raisins and nuts.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
