  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced beef and brown on all sides. Remove from pot.
  3. Add onions and mushrooms, cooking until soft.
  4. Stir in garlic and then sprinkle flour over the mixture, stirring to combine.
  5. Gradually add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing to a simmer.
  6. Return beef to the pot and cover. Cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
  7. Stir in sour cream just before serving.
  8. Meanwhile, cook egg noodles according to package instructions.
  9. Serve the beef stroganoff over egg noodles.
