A cozy and delicious take on classic French onion soup, featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham on a pizza.

  • 2 cups sliced onions
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 4 ounces chicken ham, diced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add sliced onions. Cook until caramelized.
  3. Add turkey bacon and chicken ham, cooking until the bacon is crispy.
  4. Stir in thyme, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  5. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  6. Spread the onion mixture evenly over the dough.
  7. Top with mozzarella and Gruyère cheeses.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  9. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve.
