- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain the excess fat.
- In a large baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes at the bottom.
- Spread the cooked beef mixture over the potatoes.
- In a bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the beef and potatoes.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
