Ground Beef and Potatoes Casserole

A comforting and hearty ground beef and potatoes casserole that the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain the excess fat.
  3. In a large baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes at the bottom.
  4. Spread the cooked beef mixture over the potatoes.
  5. In a bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the beef and potatoes.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add some diced jalapeños.
  • Use different types of cheese for varied flavors.
