Hazelnut & Dark-Chocolate Lava Cake

Create a rich and indulgent hazelnut and dark-chocolate lava cake that will impress your guests and satisfy your sweet cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup hazelnuts
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease ramekins with butter and dust with cocoa powder.
  2. Melt the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, salt, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Combine the chocolate mixture with the egg mixture and mix well.
  5. Fold in the flour until just incorporated.
  6. Divide the batter into prepared ramekins and bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges are set but the center is soft.
  7. Let cool for 1 minute, then invert onto plates and serve immediately.

Notes

  • These lava cakes are best served warm for maximum ooze.
  • Make sure not to overbake; the center should remain gooey.
