  • 4 cups potatoes, diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink.
  3. Layer the diced potatoes in a greased casserole dish.
  4. Spread the cooked beef mixture over the potatoes.
  5. Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the top, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
  7. Remove from the oven, uncover, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  8. Return to the oven for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
